PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for supporting commodity purchase and sale which enables a consumer to make the most suitable choice at the time of commodity purchase and reduces the time and the labor of the consumer on the commodity purchase side and a seller on the commodity sale side. SOLUTION: The system for supporting commodity purchase and sale is provided with an input means which inputs item data in accordance with an input form consisting of prescribed items required for commodity production, a retrieval means which retrieves image data from preliminarily registered image data of a commodity in accordance with data inputted by a commodity requester, and a generation means which generates a written demand indicating the demand of the commodity requester for the commodity based on item data inputted by the input means and image data retrieved by the retrieval means.
