PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk driving device which has small number of parts and good assembling operability to reduce costs by keeping an FPC from contact with a carriage by a shift keeper for fixing a guide shaft supporting the carriage. SOLUTION: Since the magnetic disk device has the first shaft keeper 12 for axially fitting the guide shaft 10 to a chassis 2 and has a protection wall 12f for keeping the first FPC 14 being a cable member from contact with the carriage 7 in reciprocating of the carriage 7 formed integrally with the keeper 12, the number of the parts can be reduced and assemblability is improved to reduce the costs.
