PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector suitable for miniaturization. SOLUTION: A terminal housing part 11 provided with cavities 19 for housing terminal fittings 13 is formed in a housing body 10. A lance 20 locked to the terminal fitting 13 is projected from the upper surface side of each cavity 19. A cut-out part 23 opened frontward from the root position of the lance 20 is formed and a release operation piece 24 connected to the side face of the lance 20 to the extent as much as half the width of the cut-out part 23 is projected on a barrier rib 22 between each adjacent pair of the cavities 19. A hold member 50 for supporting the front end part of each terminal fitting 13 from the front side in a front stop state is mounted to the housing part 11, and partitioning walls 60 for isolating the adjacent cavities 19 from each other by intruding between the lance 20 and the release operation part 24 in the cut-out part 23 are projected on the hold member 50. A minimum gap having a size not hindering the elastic deforming motion of the lance 20 is secured between each lance 20 and each partitioning wall 60.
