PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floppy disk device which prevents the plastic deformation of a lead screw positioning member arising when a front panel is dropped in the state of directing the panel downward, thereby preventing the occurrence of the off-track of a magnetic head by the plastic deformation of the positioning member. SOLUTION: The positioning member 1a for positioning the lead screw 5a is provided with a stopper 8, by which the plastic deformation of the positioning member is prevented.
