STRUCTURE FOR ARRAYING MULTIPLE OPTICAL FIBERS

PURPOSE:To simultaneously connect plural optical fibers which are arrayed in parallel or to disconnect these fibers. CONSTITUTION:This structure is constituted of a combination of a male contactor 3 which arranged in parallel with plural pieces of tubular outer peripheral members 1 fixed with the optical fibers 2 on the central axis and a female contactor 5 which is provided with arraying grooves 6 of the same size in parallel at the same intervals as the respective tubular outer peripheral members 1 of the male contactor 3 within the aperture. An elastically deformable pressing plate 7 is provided in the upper part of the arraying grooves 6 of the female contactor 5. The male contactor 3 is inserted into the aperture of the female contactor 5 and the tubular outer peripheral members 1 are fitted onto the respective arraying grooves 6 and are pressed down and fixed by the pressing plate 7.
