PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a message that corresponds to the status of call arrival by recording and reproducing the message at a call arrival side, and transmitting the message to a caller. SOLUTION: A flowchart indicating operation flows of the terminal includes: steps (103, 104) of making the recording of a message (response message) from the called party possible at the arrival of a call (101); a step (109) of connecting a line when the recording is finished (steps 106 to 108); a step (110) of reproducing the recorded voice; a step (111) of transmitting the reproduced voice to a caller side; a step (115) of connecting the line when no recording is made (112 to 114); a step (116) of reproducing an existing message having already been recorded; and a step (117) of transmitting the reproduced message to the caller side and thereafter building up the configuration of the recording of a message from the caller side.
