PURPOSE:To shorten a seeking time in an optical disk device performing seeking operation in a spiral shape. CONSTITUTION:The various value relation between the interface signal 2 of a track value outputted from a host device 1 controlling the optical disk device and the half value of the maximum track value of a medium face 11 is judged by a track judging circuit 25. Reflection plates 29A, B are moved to the position of a laser beam where an objective lens 10 inputs/outputs or deviated from the position of the beam by using a reflection plate arm 28 with a reflection plate control signal 26 through a reflection plate driving circuit 27. When the value of the interface signal 2 is larger than the maximum value of an optical disk medium, the reflection plate 29A is moved to the position of the laser beam where the objective lens inputs/outputs. |
