<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem that when equipment having a power-saving mode is network-connected to process a job requested from other equipment, most of the equipment loses the opportunity to stand by in the power-saving mode due to an inappropriate condition for shifting to the power-saving mode, and the energy saving effect may be thus lowered. <P>SOLUTION: A dynamic job scheduler DJS of a server 3001 managing distributed processing by a plurality of printers 1000-1005 having the power-saving mode connected to a computer network acquires equipment information and operating states of the printers, selects target equipment of distributed processing based on the equipment information and operating states, and reports it to a task manager TM of a client PC 3000 that is the requester of the distributed processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
