摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery control device for a vehicle capable of controlling progress of deterioration of battery performance by avoiding parking for a long time period by high SOC without uselessly discharging electric power. <P>SOLUTION: A battery control device for a vehicle that can be charged by the operation of an engine 2 installed in a vehicle 1 while supplying electric power to a motor 4 that outputs drive power for moving the vehicle includes a battery controller 81 for determining use range of storage capacity of a battery 7, a battery controller 81 for detecting storage capacity of the battery 7, an HEV controller 82 for controlling discharge and charge of the battery 7 so that the storage capacity of the battery 7 when traveling is within the use range of the determined storage capacity of the battery 7, and a battery controller 81 for predicting that the vehicle 1 is going to park.
