PURPOSE:To stop an image forming operation without causing any damage of a circuit, etc., or a malfunction even when a state of emergency occurs during the image forming operation. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine is provided with a control means 14, a jamming detection part 17, a driver circuit 16, each solenoid 10, and a main motor 8. When jamming is detected by a jamming detection part 17, an emergency stop signal is fed to CPU 141. Each solenoid 10 is sequentially stopped and the main motor 8 is stopped last, based on the fed emergency stop signal by the CPU 141. Thus, since counter electromotive force generated when the actions of each solenoid 10 and main motor 8 are stopped is not superposed, damage to the circuit, etc., and the occurrence of malfunction can be prevented. |
