PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video editing device which suitably synchronizes a moving image and a music.SOLUTION: A control method of a video editing device 100 is for generating video data obtained by synthesizing moving image data representing a moving image and music data representing a music. The video editing device 100 executes a changing step (S971) of changing, in the case where there is synchronization in a change of a subject motion in the moving image, a frame rate of the moving image data so as to synchronize the synchronization of subject motion with an interval of a beat point of the music; and a second changing step (S908) of changing, in the case where there is not synchronization in the change of subject motion in the moving image, the frame rate of the moving image data so as to synchronize a time-variant position of a peak point as a point that a motion direction of the subject is changed and the beat point.
