PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image forming apparatus to form an image on a recording medium from a position desired by a user.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus forming an image on a recording medium by conveying the recording medium in a conveyance direction creates image data showing the image formed on the recording medium and margins formed on the recording medium with an original point as a reference; calculates, of the margins, the amount of a margin formed in the conveyance direction and the amount of a margin formed in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction, respectively, on the basis of the image data; changes the position at which the original point is arranged on the basis of the amount of the margin formed in the conveyance direction and the amount of the margin formed in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction; and forms the image and the margins with the original point after the change on the basis of the image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
