PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which can be small-sized by easily supplying AC power to armature coils and supplying DC power to field coils without requiring any complicated circuit or control.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine comprises: a plurality of armature coils 125 (125u, 125v and 125w) which are disposed in parallel and excited by being supplied with currents of different phases of the AC power that an inverter 302 outputs; and a plurality of field coils 126 which are excited by being supplied with the DC power. The rotary electric machine also comprises a diode bridge 310 formed from diodes 311u-312w which are interposed between the armature coils and the field coils, connected in parallel correspondingly to each of phases of the armature coils and rectify the currents of the different phases to be supplied to the armature coils.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
