PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer composition that gives a liquid crystal alignment film for a lateral field-driving type liquid crystal display element, the alignment film having an alignment controlling property imparted with high efficiency and having excellent exposure characteristics, and a liquid crystal alignment film for a lateral field-driving type liquid crystal display element using the above composition.SOLUTION: The polymer composition comprises (A) a photosensitive side-chain type polymer, represented by formula (18), (19) for example, which develops liquid crystalline property in a predetermined temperature range, (B) a polyamine produced by polymerization of a polyvalent epoxy compound and a diamine compound, and (C) an organic solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
