The present invention provides a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) multiplexer (MUX) and a driving method thereof, to transfer only positive voltage through a positive MOS (PMOS) and transfer only negative voltage through a negative MOS (NMOS) by a design change of a CMOS, to increase the voltage transfer efficiency, lower the occurrence of a parasitic capacitor, and reduce consumption power by allowing a display panel to perform an inversion operation while supplying only one polarity data voltage from one data driver output terminal. According to the present invention, since source electrodes of a first and a second transistor are connected each other, drain electrodes of the second and third transistor are connected, drain electrodes of the third and fourth transistor are connected, drain electrodes of the first and fourth transistor are connected, a CMOS transfers only positive voltage to a PMOS and transfers only negative voltage to an NMOS, so parasitic capacitors are reduced and voltage transfer efficiency is increased. Moreover, when an MUX of a data driver is formed by using the CMOS, the data driver output terminal outputs only the same polarity voltage, so consumption power is reduced. |
