<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which has a high recording sensitivity, enables the attainment of an excellent image quality even in printing with low energy, shows little ground fogging even in storage under a high-temperature environment and excels in the resistance to oil and a plasticizer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording medium has the constitution that an undercoat layer and a thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye and a developer are formed sequentially on a paper substrate. The undercoat layer consists of at least two undercoat layers of the first and the second. The standard deviation of the thickness of the thermal recording layer is 0.30 or less and this layer contains 4,4'-bis[(4-methyl-3-phenoxycarbonylaminophenyl)ureido]diphenylsulfone as the developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
