The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I), which is a sanglifehrin analogue, that is useful as a cyclophilin inhibitor in the treatment of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and also as an immunosuppressant or as an antiinflammatory agent. The present invention also provides a solid crystalline form of said compound, a process for the preparation thereof, in particular in the form of crystalline polymorph.
