In a sprung hinge for spectacles, which, intended to enable the sides of spectacles to be pushed beyond a stop position and to bear elastically against the head of the person wearing the spectacles, is constituted by a side half-hinge and a central-part half-hinge, the side knuckle may be withdrawn, with a sprung piston, from the hinge in opposition to the action of the spring bearing, on the one hand, against a stop-forming body and, on the other hand, against a guide ring mounted on the piston rod. According to the invention, the stop-forming body (9) has at least one recess (11) especially in the form of a groove in which a bead (12) attached to the piston guide (6) engages so as to lock the stop-forming body (9) in the piston guide (6). <IMAGE>
