PURPOSE:To facilitate the ex post facto treatment to the jamming of paper by showing the jamming of paper to an operator at an early stage. CONSTITUTION:Paper 20 is fed through a paper route 22 by the feed part 26 driven by a pulse motor 25 and predetermined printing is applied to the paper 20 by a printing part 23 in synchronous relation to the feed of the paper 20. The presence of the paper 20 is detected by the paper sensor 29 arranged on the downstream side of the cutter 28 cutting the paper 20 after cutting in the paper route 22. When the paper 20 is not detected by the paper sensor 29 even when the number of pulses applied to the pulse motor 25 after the start of the feed of the paper 20 exceeds a fixed number, the jamming of the paper 20 is judged to be generated and the driving of the feed part 26 is stopped by an. alarm means to emit an alarm. By this constitution, an operator is informed of the jamming of paper at an early stage and the ex post facto treatment to the jamming of the paper is facilitated. |
