PURPOSE: To perform incision of a human body organization as a wire guide is left in the human body, and prevent electric shock to the human body by current short-circuitting. CONSTITUTION: A wire guide 1 comprises an insulation outer tube 20 comprising extruded Teflon material, an inner shaft 30 comprising Nitinol (R) material, and a platinum alloy coil 40 at an end. The outer tube 20 has such inner sizes that the inner shaft 30 is loosely contained with an air cushion to provide additive insulation effect, and the platinum alloy coil 40 is also loosely positioned inside the outer tube 20. The Nitinol (R) material forming the inner shaft 30 has a high electric resistance, and it also has super-elasticity characteristics to improve controllability of the guide 1. A taper is provided at an end part of the inner shaft 30, and this end part is installed on the platinum alloy coil 40. The coil is radiation-impermeable, thereby recognition of a tip by X-ray observation is facilitated. |
