A terminal 10 is formed with barbs 25 which, when it is forced into a circular aperture 12 in a printed circuit board 11, engage the material of the board, e.g. a phenolic material which is slightly resilient, to lock the terminal against axial, lateral and rotational movement. The terminal is preferably of rectangular section and may have one or two wire-wrap shanks 15, 16. A shoulder 18 abuts one side of the board. The barbs are formed by coining or swaging and may be two in number, as shown, or four or eight, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown).</p> |
