1,135,937. Window operating mechanisms. W. WEBER. 16 Dec., 1965 [19 Dec., 1964], No.. 53520/65. Heading E2M. Operating mechanism for looking and tilting mechanism of a tilting and swivelling window comprises an operating rod 10, a handle 6, a latch 20, and an intermediate member 4, the latch being resiliently urged to engage a supporting lug 2. In the position shown in Fig. 1 with the latch 20 engaging the lug 2, clockwise movement of handle 6 to the dotted position causes the handle to turn about a pivot 5 and a lever 8 moves upwardly to shift a rod 10 upwardly and the window is tilted to an open position. If the pawl 20 is raised so that a projection 20b thereon engages a recess 6b in the handle and the handle is again pivoted clockwise, the handle and member 4 being rigidly connected together by the pawl 20 pivot about a pin 3 and the lever 8 and the rod 10 are drawn downwardly and the window is unlocked and can be pivoted about its vertical axis. |
