[Also in Groups XXIX and XXXIII] A semi-rotary vane-type motor for angular adjustment of pods carrying gas turbine engines mounted at the wing tips of an aircraft consists of a fixed element 12 having one to four vanes 13, 14 and a rotary, outer element 15 also with vanes 18, a control valve 34 with connections 46, 48 and 47, 50 leading to chambers 28, 27 and 23, 24 respectively, and follow-up means (see Group XXIX) to ensure that after displacement of the valve member from its neutral position by a lever 57, the valve member is returned to neutral position as the element 15 completes a movement corresponding to the displacement of the lever 57. The vanes 13, 14, 18 carry labyrinth &c. seals 21, 22, 20. |
