952,841. Reciprocating pumps. COUNCIL FOR SCIENTIFIC & INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH. May 10, 1961 [May 25, 1960], No. 18582/60. Heading F1A. [Also in Division G3] In a variable stroke swash plate pump or motor movement of the swash plate is opposed by struts comprising hydraulic rams 76, 77 connected through restrictions 112, 110 to a pressure source 111. The connection to the ram 76 is through a control valve 94 which together with the ram forms a follow up servo control for the angle of the swash plate. The ram 76 is of larger area than the ram 77. The valve 94 may be manually actuated or may be controlled by output pressure in the case of a pump or speed or torque in the case of a motor. The Specification states that more than two struts may be equiangularly spaced around the axis. Specifications 893,848, 928,587 and 934,851 are referred to. |
