PURPOSE:To provide an agent for suppressing or deodorizing ill odor and effective for suppressing the generation of various ill odor components of mammal feces and to provide a method for suppressing or deodorizing ill odor by adding the above agent to mammal feces. CONSTITUTION:A bacterial strain belonging to Bacillus megaterium is used as an active component of the objective agent for suppressing or deodorizing ill odor of mammal feces. The generation of ill odor from mammal feces can be suppressed or the ill odor can be deodorized by the use of the above agent.
