<p>PURPOSE:To enable estimating load distribution between a rolled stock and a work roll and also to manufacture the rolled stock excellent in surface quality using back-up roll which is divided in the direction of the axial line. CONSTITUTION:A pair of work rolls 2, 3 opposing each other are provided for rolling the rolled stock 10. Back-up roll with which rolling load between the rolled stock 10 and the work roll 2 is supported is divided into plural parts in the direction of the axial line of the work roll 2. Every divided back-up roll is provided with a hydraulic cylinder 15 and load detectors 17 and rolling load distribution is variably controlled. Every divided back-up roll 4a-4d is provided with pulleys 19a-19d and driven through belts 24 with a motor so that each divided back-up roll 4a-4d can be individually synchronized with the circumferential speed of the work roll 2. Generation of roll mark or the like on the work roll 2 due to speed difference caused when one of the divided back-up rolls 4a-4d comes in non-contact state and is again brought into contact can be prevented.</p> |
