A work-table 10 for use with a drilling machine 11 having a turret head 13 comprises superposed slides 18, 19 carried by a plate 17 which is detachably fixed to the machine bed 16, a frame 40 secured to slide 19 for carrying a template T, a locating pin 51 for co-operation with holes H in the template, and a pointer 75 for assisting the operator in locating the axis of pin 51. Slide 18 moves in the Y direction on plate 17 along rods 21, 22, and slide 19 moves in the X direction on slide 18 along rods 32, 33. Locating pin 51 is moved against a spring 61 to disengage the template by a pneumatic cylinder 52, Fig. 5 (not shown), and a switch 63 is actuated to prevent the tool head from moving, until the pin 51 is engaged with a hole H in the template. A signal light may be operated by the switch. |
