In a scraper loader adapted to be swivelled about a vertical axis 1 and having a pivotable scraper jib 5, the scraper itself is hingeably mounted on one end 7 of a rocker arm 14, which in turn is pivotably connected at its other end so as to be pivotable in a vertical plane on the frame of the scraper loader, so that by swiveling the rocker arm upwardly, the hinge point of the scraper on the arm is displaced both upwards and towards the pile of loose material. The rocker arm 14 is moved by means of one or more thrustors 11, hingeably mounted on the frame. The scraper comprises a spiked endless chain and the upper end of the scaper arm 5 is supported by a cable 6. |
