BES 12 Dec 1969 [13 Dec 1968] 60871/69 Headings F2A and F2S [Also in Division E2] In a resilient bushing comprising an inner rigid sleeve 10 an anti-friction lining 11 shorter than the sleeve 10 and turnable about it, an elastomeric sleeve 12, and an outer rigid sleeve 13, elastomeric washers 16 are provided at both ends of the sleeve 10. The washers 16 are required to be located against radial end faces of the lining 11 and to project beyond the ends of the sleeve 10. The rigid sleeves 10 and 13 are of metal, the lining 11 may be one-piece or twopiece as shown, and is stuck to the elastomeric sleeve 12, and the washers 16 are of cellular polyurethane rubber. The lining 11 may be of bronze or of a polyolefin e.g. polyethylene having a low melting point to facilitate bonding to the elastomeric sleeve 12. |
