An animal feed comprises particles of an animal food having a flavour enhancing acid concentrated on or near the surface of the particles. Suitable acids include phosphoric, citric, and hexamic acid, which are preferred, and also sulphuric, hydrochloric, tartaric, fumaric, lactic and acetic acid. The particles may be coated with fat, such as lard or tallow, and the acid may be under, incorporated in, or on the surface of the fat coating. |
