PURPOSE:To improve reflectance, sensitivity, recording performance, reproduced light stability and storage stability by a reaction of a specific compound, 1,8- diazabicyclo[5,4,0]-7-undecene and a metal derivative. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I (wherein R is 1-alkoxymethyl-2- dialkylaminoethyl of formula II in which each of X, X' and Y is linear or branched 1-4C alkyl; and OR is positioned so as to occupy the 1- or 4-position, 5- or 8-position, 9- or 12-position and 13- or 16-position of the final compound), 1,8-diazabicyclo-[5,4,0]-7-undecene and a metal derivative are heated in an alcohol to effect a reaction so that an alpha-alkoxyphthalocyanine compound of formula III (wherein Met is Cu or Pd) is obtained. 0.05-20wt.% obtained compound and 0-20wt.% binder resin are dissolved in a solvent, and applied to a substrate of an optically transparent resin to thereby obtain an optical recording medium. |
