A dry shaver comprises an auxiliary shaving head including a casing 28 containing a stationary blade 33, a reciprocable blade 35 and linkage joining the blade 35 with a motor 25, the casing 28 being removable with its contents from the main casing 13 to permit attachment of an alternative head for a different shaving mode. The blade 35 is attached to a spring 36 which is reciprocated by a lever 55 on which the spring press-fits, the lever being oscillated by the motor 25 through a connection 52 and another spring 58 press-fitting over the end of a lever 22 or 23 projecting from the motor. The casing 28 is retained on the main casing 13 by pivoted catches 20, as disclosed in Specification 1,218,517 engaging surfaces 63. The blades can be removed from the casing 28 and are normally retained by latches 49 engaging an element 34 attached to the stationary blade 33, the latches being biased by resilient fingers 47 extending from a plate 41. |
