Automatic liquid transfer appts for - use in sequential analysis

A gas pressure pipe and a fluid transfer pipe which both dip into a samle container, which has typically a layer of liquid above a sedimentary layer, are fixed to a common mounting block and this has a linear drive mechanism by which the amount of penetration of the pipes into the container is controlled. The travel of this mounting is in turn governed by a detector for contact of the pressurisation pipe with the surface of the liquid and by a monitor on the transfer pipe to the analysis chamber which detects the passage of the liquid being transferred.
