PURPOSE:To prevent the output of an unproper copy even in the case where a document of a different size is mixed when both-side copies are taken from one-side documents by cancelling the setting of the mode only when the document of the different size is detected. CONSTITUTION:A sheet feed roller is tuned on, a pick-up roller 12b and a separation roller 12c are driven and the lowest one of documents D on a sheet feed tray 12a is taken out and sent to an exposure position. During the carrying of the document D, its size is detected by a resist sensor 12g and a size sensor 12h. The detected size of the document and the size of a sheet set first are compared in a processor. When they do not match, the both-side copy mode is cancelled. Then, a proper cassette is selected and a normal copy operation is performed by the one-side copy mode. |
