Headings F2A and F2U' A bearing has either an inner or an outer race thereof provided with teeth which mesh with external or internal teeth of a transmission shaft. In an embodiment, a transmission shaft 1 has teeth 6 formed at one end thereof, the teeth being in mesh with the teeth of gears 2. The shaft end is mounted in a roller bearing 4, an inner race 5 of which is provided with mating teeth 3. An outer race 7 of the bearing 4 is supported by a housing 11. The bearing is retained on the shaft end by circlips 8. Holes 9 and recesses 10 are formed in the inner race so as to provide elasticity and facilitate assembly. |
