Heading H1N. In an ignition distributer, the plate carrying the contacts of the breaker has a central aperture surrounding and centred by the cam. As shown, the plate consists of two axiallyspaced parts 9, 9<SP>1</SP> having hubs 22 located by the lobes of the cam 15 and resting on a flange 36 of the cam. The fixed contact 6 is carried by plates 61, 62 having projections 62a, 62b in apertures 65, 66. The moving contact is mounted on a lever 7 having a bush surrounding a sleeve 46 eccentrically mounted on a screw 47, a tubular lubricating wick 53 surrounding the sleeve 46. The cam is lubricated by a wick 45. The capacitor is attached by a clip (92) sprung into a housing opening (93), and a vacuum control device (11) is received in a housing opening (105), (Fig. 1, not shown). The device (11) is connected to part 9 by a rod 108 having a bent end 111 located in an aperture 112 and retained by a projection 115 on part 9<SP>1</SP>. The device (11) includes two one-way valves that allow cooling air to be blown into the housing. A modified construction in which the contact 6 is adjustable and utilizing a different connection from the vacuum control device is also described. |
