1,124,077. Mixing flowing fluid streams. P. N. PAULUS. 26 Nov., 1965 [4 Dec., 1964], No. 50268/65. Heading B1C. [Also in Division F4] In a paint spraying installation fresh air from an entry 23 and recirculated air from a booth 1 are apportioned by a damper 7 before passing through a duct 24 to the booth. The damper is pivoted at 11 and comprises two parts 7a and 7b hinged to each other at 8. The part 7b has a catch 15 which when the damper closes the booth opening 4 engages a frame 9 of the opening. A cable 19 fixed to a drum 20 releases the catch and lifts the damper according to the proportions of air required. The drum may be operated manually by a crank 22, may be power operated, and may be programme operated. The booth 1 is supplied with fresh air only during spraying and with fresh and recirculated air during drying. The duct 24 includes a fan, a heater and a filter and leads to ceiling apertures in the booth. The booth has floor apertures leading to an air outlet and a fan which is operated for spraying and switched off for drying. |
