[Also in Division B8] An envelope &c. has a tear strip formed by ribs 53, Fig. 1, extending transversely to the length of the strip, plain margins 54, 55 being provided at the ends of the strip. An air mail envelope may have a reinforcing strip 76 held in position between the parts 71, 77 of the envelope by the ribs 73 of the tear strip. The ribs may be formed by relief printing either dry or with the application of ink or colour, and cause the front and back of the envelope to adhere to one another. |
