Plastic ski with foamed core

The mould use has a cavity corresponding to the required cross-section of the ski. This is divided horizontally, parallel to the upper surface of the ski. A unit consisting of the ski sole and the two lateral steel edges is introduced into the lower mould half, the upper edges and/or a cover panel are placed in the upper half. The mould halves are then closed, and the cavity filled with a plastic layer which is compact in its outer, and porous in its inner zones.
