A motor vehicle having a windscreen assembly comprises a windscreen engaging a groove 3 in a resilient windscreen seal 2 which has, on the side of the seal remote from the groove 3, another groove 4 engaging an inwardly extending flange 1 of a vehicle body windscreen opening, the flange 1 being formed by welding together two or three bodywork pressings, a number of substantially S-sectioned clips 6 distributed around the periphery of the windscreen opening, each clip 6 having a U-sectioned end portion 7 clipped over the flange 1, the other end portion 8 of the clip being substantially V-sectioned and a bead 5 on the seal 2 projecting between the U-section end portions 7 and the V-sectioned end portions 8 of the clips 6. |
