A tube rolling mill includes an arrangement for feeding lubricant into hollow billets before they are rolled. The billets are held on a table E and are individually moved by feeders 2 into a trough, Fig. 2, formed by a guide 14 and a strip 16, prior to rolling in a stand B. A lubricant injector 4 (Fig. 4, not shown), which is carried by a pusher 13, is moved to the right until it contacts a batcher 9 (Fig. 5, not shown), such contact forcing lubricant from the batcher into a cavity of the injector. The injector is moved to the left against the end of a billet in the trough, and lubricant is forced into the end of the billet upon contact of the billet with a spring loaded stop 3. The injector is retracted to the right the charged billet is lowered to a rolling axis "a-a", and a mandrel inserted in the billet, thus distributing the lubricant through the billet. A holder D for the billet is then fed and rotated by a mechanism C for rolling of the billet.
