1335675 Lathes ZAVODY PRESNEHO STROJIRENSTVI GOTTWALDOV NARODNIPODNIK 4 Dec 1970 [22 Jan 1970] 57796/70 Heading B3T A lathe comprises a cross slide 1 mounted on the lathe saddle 3, and carrying a fixed tool post 10 and a tool slide 12, the tool slide being angularly pivotable in a plane parallel to the cross slide and linearly displaceable relative to the cross slide 1. The cross slide may be selectively manually or power operated from a first output from a first gear-box by way of screw and nut assembly 28, 29. The first gear-box which includes gears 21, 24, 25, 26, and 27 is provided with a second output which, by way of telescopic shaft 31, 33 and a second gear-box 13, effects displacement of the tool slide 12 through rack and pinion means 40, 41, the first and second outputs from the first gear-box being selectively engaged by shifting of gear 26 to mesh with either gear 27 or gear 32. The manual operation is effected from the hand wheel 9 and the power operation is effected from the main motor by way of chain 23 and sprocket 22 attached to the hand wheel spindle 20. The two outputs from the first gear-box permit selective operation of the cross slide or the tool slide either manually or by power operation. The angular positioning of the tool slide 12 permits taper and similar turning operations to be performed in addition to normal turning operations performed by the tool in the tool post 10. |
