1312493 Ureidophenyl thioureas BAYER AG 24 Nov 1970 [29 Nov 1969 12 March 1970] 55829/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises ureidophenyl thioureas of general formula in which each X is halogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy; n is 0, 1 or 2; R is C 1 -C 12 alkyl; R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> are hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl; and R<SP>111</SP> stands for a hydrogen atom (except when R<SP>11</SP> is a C 3 or C 4 alkyl); methyl or ethyl optionally substituted by halogen, cyano, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy or C 1 -C 5 alkoxy; C 3 -C 18 alkyl substituted by at least one substituent selected from halogen, cyano, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy and C 1 -C 5 alkoxy; C 5 - C 8 cycloalkyl, aralkyl in which the aryl group may carry a halogen, or a C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy group; phenyl which may carry a halogen or a C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy group; a C 1 -C 18 acyl group optionally substituted by halogen or a C 1 -C 4 alkyl group; aroyl optionally substituted by halogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy; C 1 -C 18 alky] sulphonyl; arylsulphonyl optionally substituted by halogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy; or dialkylamino containing up to 4 carbon atoms. They may be prepared by reacting a 2-ureidoaniline derivative of formula with an isothiocyanate of formula in the presence of a diluent. The ureidophenyl thioureas of the invention are used as the active agents in fungicidal compositions. The compositions may be used as solutions, emulsifiable concentrates, emulsions, suspensions, powders, pastes and granulates and may contain conventional additives and diluents and also other active compounds such as fungicides, insecticides and acaricides. |
