PURPOSE:To reduce in size and weight and to reduce a cost by decreasing a volume and a weight of a gasket used for an electric double layer capacitor. CONSTITUTION:An electric double layer capacitor has a structure in which a gasket 5 is liquidtightly arranged between a conductive sheet 2 externally pressed to a current collector plate 1 and an outer frame 6 surrounding a cell made of an insulator. Heretofore, an outer periphery of an electric double layer capacitor was surrounded double by a gasket and an outer frame. However, an inner gasket is removed, the outer frame is moved inward that much thereby to reduce its shape. The gasket may be a thin sheet state. Its volume is reduced as compared with prior art, and its cost is also reduced. |
