COMPOUND OF CARBOXYLIC ACID 4'(4-ALKOXYBENZYLOXY) DIPHENYL TIOESTER SUBSTITUTED ALPHA-HALOGEN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEREOF

Optically active aliphatic alpha-halogen-substd. carboxylic acid 4'-(4- alkoxybenzyloxy)-biphenyl thioesters of formula (I) are new. In (I), R=C8-15 n-alkyl; C-star = asymmetric C atom; X= halogen; R'=-CH(CH3)CH3, -CH(CH3)-C2H5 or -CH2CH(CH3)-CH3. Also claimed is the prepn. of (I) which comprises (a) reacting optically-active alpha-aminoacid with HF/pyridine or HCl/NaNO in distilled water; (b) reacting optically-active aliphatic alpha-halogen-substd. carboxylic acid prod. with p- (4-hydroxyphenyl)-benzoic acid in pyridine; and (c) reacting optically-active aliphatic alpha-halogen substd. carboxylic acid p- (4-carboxy)biphenyl with alkoxythiophenyl to form prod..
