PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a computer by judging whether an OS is loaded when a battery output voltage is normal or not by checking the set and reset states of a flag. CONSTITUTION:A central processing control part 9 is provided with a main control part 12 to control the entire operations of a computer 1, battery check part 13 to check the output voltage of a battery 2, and flag control part 14 to control the set and reset of the flag when loading the OS. Based on the detection of the reduction of the output voltage from the battery 2 due to the battery check part 13 while loading the OS, the flag control part 14 turns off a power source after the set flag is stored in a battery backed-up memory 11. When the power source is turned on again, it is detected based on the set state of the flag stored in the battery backed-up memory 11 that the OS is not normally loaded, and it is reported to the user of the computer 1. |
