摘要 1323566 Fault indicating systems TSUDAKOMA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 2 Sept 1970 [19 Sept 1969] 41907/70 Heading G4H [Also in Division D1] Apparatus enabling an operator to repair malfunctioning machines in an optimum sequence comprises a carriage for carrying the operator to any of the machines, a store in which fault signals and the addresses of the corresponding machine are stored in order of occurrence, means for classifying the fault signals in order of priority and for giving the address signal of the machine with the highest priority fault, means for comparing this signal with a signal indicating the position of the carriage to obtain a signal indicating the direction in which the carriage is to be driven, means being provided to stop the carriage at the indicated machine. As described the machines are looms 1 with means for signalling the nature of any fault which can develop together with the address of the loom. The fault signal is recoded and entered with the corresponding address signal in store 2. The output signals A of store 2 are scanned by comparator 3 to find the fault signal with the highest priority, the corresponding address being then presented at C. The operator's carriage 9 has a control circuit 4, driving means 7 and an address comparator. The carriage position signal G from driving means 7 is compared in the comparator 3 with the priority address and a signal D produced represents the distance it is necessary for the carriage to travel to reach the machine. This value and the carriage position 9 are compared at 6 to give a direction signal E which controls the direction of movement of the carriage. When the machine address C and the carriage position agree, the comparator 8 gives a signal 4 to stop the carriage. Where faults of equal priority are reported by two different machines, the carriage goes to the nearest. The store 2 may also include an accumulator for accumulating the time for which the looms are out of operation, and a display showing the cause of the malfunction. The carriage drive means may be placed under manual control.
