<p>The phosphors are prepared in a manner not requiring any ignition stage and which can be carried out at ambient temperatures and pressures and are those having a solubility less than 5 g/l at 25 degrees C. The anion and cations to form the phosphor are separately introduced into the reaction solution maintaining a concentration excess of one over the other of =1 molar. Local excess concentrations in the solution are prevented and crystals of the phosphors are grown to a size of >=0.5 microns. The particular excess is chosen to provide the most efficient luminescence of the phosphor.</p> |
