<p>1,271,336. Mixing apparatus. COLORTEX S.A. 15 July, 1970 [4 Aug., 1969], No. 34237/ 70. Heading B1C. Stirrer has a supporting disc from which vanes project outwardly. The vanes are shaped to extend in the circumferential direction, and adjacent vanes overlap. The vanes may be pivotally mounted, (as shown) and may be adjusted by relative rotation of the supporting disc and a central gear meshing with gear sectors on the vanes. The central gear may normally be clamped to the supporting disc, so that adjustment is effected with the stirrer stationary after releasing the clamp, or the supporting disc and central gear may be fixed to concentric shafts to allow adjustment during rotation. The width of the outer surface of each vane is dependent in the length of the vane, that is, a shorter vane should be wider than a longer vane, in inverse proportion to the length. A groove may be formed along the centre of the outer surface.</p> |
