<p>Cryogenic liq, such as liq, nitrogen is atomised and deposited electrostatically upon a product to be deep-frozen, partic. perishable foodstuffs, such as meat, fish, vegetables. The process is partic applicable to temps below - 50 degrees C which would otherwise require the use of expensive, multi-stage refrigeration plants. Max. freezing effect is obtd from a sparing use of cryogenic liq, and the homogeneous distribution of spray particles ensures that thorough freezing takes place without dehydration on frost burning of the product.</p> |
